Code of Ethics

The following are the ethical guidelines adhered to by the members of the Alliance Appraisal Group.  They are the standards by which we conduct our business on a daily basis. It is the duty of all our members to ensure that every effort is made to live up to these standards so as to inspire the confidence of the public and the insurance industry.

  • An Appraiser must conduct him / her self in such a manner as to inspire public confidence by exercising honesty, fairness, and dependability when engaging in the business of damage appraisals.
  • An Appraiser must carry out an accurate appraisal of damages and / or complete an evaluation without favouritism or prejudice towards any involved party.
  • An Appraiser must not seek personal gain from any assigned loss other than the direct fee charged for the services rendered or salary paid by his / her employer.
  • An Appraiser must directly report to the Insurer, any effort to influence his / her activities through bribe, unjust or unfair attempts to achieve unreasonable gain on the part of any insured or third party.
  • An Appraiser must maintain his / her level of job related training to the degree considered acceptable by industry standards.
  • An Appraiser must present him / her self in a courteous and professional manner at all times through out the course of their assigned activities.
